These are our baby groups and have a deliberately high staff:child ratio enabling us to provide that personal level of attention which we are very aware that children need at this age. Moles and Hedgehogs- aged 2 to 3 years.Staffing: 2 staff members - 8 children. These are our toddler groups and we offer them more structured play, together with a learning environment designed for their individual needs. Toilet training is introduced in this group after consultation with parents. Badgers and Rabbits [and from September 2010 Otters]- aged 3 years to school age.Staffing: 2 or 3 staff members 10 children in the Rabbits Group or 18 children in the Badgers Group. [with effect from September 2010 there will be 10 children in all three groups] These are our pre-school groups and we encourage creative and artistic activities together with music, movement, stories and games. We spend time with each child giving them the opportunity to learn writing skills, colours, shapes, numbers etc. to ensure that they are prepared for school and have the confidence to get off to a good start.
