Subsidised Places

Our fundraising at St George's allows us to offer subsidised places to enable all children in difficult situations the opportunity to access good quality childcare. Fee paying parents do not contribute to subsidised places.  Please contact the office for details.

The Local Authorities Funding: 30 Hours of Free Childcare

Assists playgroup fees for children who will be three years old at the start of the next term. The grant is available for a maximum of 30 hours per week for 38 full weeks of the year. This will cover up to 10 sessions per week (3hrs long). Little Dragons is usually open for up to 38 weeks per year, so occasionally there may be an odd day unsupported by funding.

If a child is attending more than one playgroup setting, the grant for up to 30 hours from September is divided between the providers. If children are attending a nursery attached to a school, the school will claim the funding. Attendance registers are kept and show evidence of each child’s attendance record, the time they arrive and the time they leave each session.
