Our staff team
Our staff team at St George's have over 350 years' worth of childcare experience between them.
Each room has a qualified and experienced Room Leader supported by qualified Nursery Nurses and experienced Nursery Assistants. We use outside agencies, in-house training and staff meetings to ensure our staff team are kept up to date with the latest developments in childcare.
Our latest Ofsted report said 'All staff demonstrate a high level of commitment'.
We have nominated staff for Safeguarding, First Aid, Behaviour Management and Special Needs and we constantly update the training they receive.
We actively recruit for any new staff we need to compliment the existing staff team. We use inductions and appraisals to monitor the staff team and work with an open door policy so staff feel able to speak freely at any time. Our whistle blowing policy ensures the safety of your child and all staff are made aware of this and all of our policies and procedures when they start at St George's.
We welcome childcare students from local colleges and work experience students from local schools. The childcare students gain valuable practical experience and in some cases have become permanent members of the staff team. They are not used as a replacement for staff members and are additional to any staff:children ratio.
