The safety of your child is of paramount importance to us. 

At each entrance there is a CCTV camera so we know at all times who is in the building.  Anybody collecting apart from known parents or carers must be a nominated person, bring ID and have a password before we will allow the child to be collected.

All of our staff have an enhanced Criminals Record Bureau (CRB) check.  We also have 2 written references for each staff member and regular appraisals and supervisions.  All of our staff are aware of all of our policies and procedures and through training we are able to ensure we are up to date with any changes. Adhering to our ratios  is another way we keep your child safe.  Our students and volunteers are also CRB checked and are not counted in ratios in the rooms. 

We have a strict No Mobile Phone policy and only nursery cameras are used to capture the children at play.  The photos are printed on site and then deleted.

Our menus are designed to be healthy and our colour coded plate system and individual place mats ensure any child with a special dietary need is catered for.

Risk assessments ensure the resources, furniture, hallways and garden are safe for the children.  Our garden equipment has an impact absorbing surface.

Monthly emergency evacuations enable the staff and children to leave the building quickly should the need arise.  The evacuations are carried out on different days and at different times.

Hand washing, cleaning rotas, toileting and nappy procedures keep our children as safe as possible from any contamination.  Hand gel in every room is used as well as soap and water and the children learn from the staff being good role models.

We have nominated safeguarding and behaviour management officers and our strict safeguarding procedure protects our children at all times.  All of the staff have up to date safeguarding training.

Making sure your child is safe is of utmost importance and we constantly reflect on our policies and procedures.
