We build up a relationship with our parents from the first visit to St George's as we believe our parents are the experts on their child.  At your child's first settling in visit, we will find out from you as much as we can about your child's daily routine, likes and dislikes.

Each child will have a Key Person as we believe this helps our children settle into St George's and gives them all a special person at nursery.  Your child's Key Person will be the main contact for you and with open chats each time you drop off or collect your child, the care we offer will be improved.  Your child's Key Person will also undertake short observations of your child to build up his or her Learning Journal and plan the next step in your child's learning.

Our parents are encouraged to read and write in their child's Learning Journal as we value your comments and the information from you helps us plan activities your child will enjoy.  We hold parents evenings to allow you the time to talk to your child's Key Person. 

To help us improve the services we offer and to listen to parents comments, we have a suggestion box in our hallway.  We send out newsletters and we ask for volunteers throughout the year at our fundraising events.  We work with an open door policy and welcome parents in at any time.

St George's is committee-run and we have parents past and present on our board of directors. 

We feel building a good relationship between home and St George's will benefit your child's time with us.
