We are very lucky to have a large garden at the rear of the building for our children to play in
all year round. The garden is split into areas.
Our natural area has a water feature, logs, plants and pebbles where the children investigate in natural surroundings finding insects and exploring plant life.
We have a climbing frame with soft flooring to encourage our children to develop their large motor skills and confidence in their physical abilities. The sheds also have a wide variety of equipment for cycling, balancing, throwing & catching. skipping, pushing & pulling. Our large sandpit and our Wendy houses are very popular with all of the children and often become the centre of complicated imaginative games.
The large wooden Den is set up for our children to use as an extension of the rooms with dressing up and drawing and lots of large wooden blocks and tent making equipment for imaginative play.
Behind the Den, each room has a vegetable plot where our children learn about the growing cycle. The food grown is prepared, cooked and eaten by our children. Lots of pots with flowers and vegetables are all around the garden.
The large open area is great for our older children to play football, basketball, prac
tise on their stilts and pogo sticks.
The canopied baby garden allows our baby rooms to access our garden safely at any time when the older children are outside.
We use our garden on a daily basis as we think being out in the fresh air is very important and we are able to offer your child different learning opportunities than those indoors.
