30 Hours of Free Childcare

St George’s can only claim for 5 hours Free Early Education Funding per session for 3 and 4 years old in the term after their 3rd birthday, therefore there is a charge of £8.20 for the extra half an hour in the nursery.

Subsidised Places

Our fundraising at St Georges allows us to offer subsidised places to enable all children in difficult situations the opportunity to access good quality childcare. Fee paying parents do not contribute to subsidised places.  Please contact the office for details.

Deposit

A deposit of £100.00 is required to hold your child’s place in the Nursery prior to their starting day. Once your child's placement has been agreed and confirmed and the deposit paid, any cancellation with less than four week's notice will result in forfeit of the deposit. Once your child commences attending, your deposit will be used at the end of your child's placement and deducted from the required notice period of four weeks.

Payments can be made by various methods :

  • Debit cards can be used at no charge either at our reception or over the phone.

  • Credit card/business cards we make a 3% transaction charge. We do not accept American Express

  • Cheque - made payable to St George's CCP.

  • Standing order forms available from reception.

  • All brands of vouchers issued under the salary sacrifice scheme.

All fees, inclusive of food, are revised annually at the beginning of June and implemented at the beginning of September. Parents paying the Projects funded subsidised fees will be asked to verify their current circumstances and eligibility at regular intervals.

Cancellation of place

Once you have confirmed and accepted a place for your child and they are attending, one months notice in writing is required to cancel your childs placement or to decrease their sessions. Failure to give one month’s notice will result in fees being charged, regardless of attendance.

If a booking is cancelled prior to the start date then the fee is forfeited.

Charge for late collections

Any child still in the Project’s care after the standard session ends will be booked as a “late collection” that will incur an extra charge of £20.00. We need to have a cut-off point and if children are still on site after that time our staff are disrupted and insurance invalidated. Although we will sympathise when the unexpected late collection happens unfortunately it will still incur a late charge.

The Grant Scheme

The local authorities provide a grant to assist with nursery or playgroup fees for children who will be three years old at the start of the next term.

The grant is available term-time only and for up to thirty hours per week.  Depending on the sessional fees and the opening times of the Nursery, the grant will be deducted from the child’s fees and the remaining balance itemised for payment by parents/carers.

If a child is attending more than one nursery or playgroup, the grant for up to 30 hours from September is divided between the providers. If children are attending a nursery attached to a school, the school will claim the funding. Attendance registers are kept and show evidence of each child’s attendance record, the time they arrive and the time they leave each session.
