Our After School Club runs during term time picking up children from St Johns, Claremont, St James, St Augustine and St Peters primary schools. Children from all schools are welcome but parents need to arrange their transport to St George's.
Our regular staff team provide a familiar face for your child when they come out of school and accompany then back to the club in our 16 seater mini bus.
Afternoon tea is prepared daily and the children eat in our kitchen with our cooks who become familiar friends. A comprehensive food policy ensures all special diets are catered for.
The children choose from a wide range of indoor activities including large equipment such as a snooker table, karaoke and air hockey. Role play areas, a wide variety of board games, arts and crafts and construction toys are all available for the children to access and we liaise with the schools the children attend to build on the projects they are learning about in class.
Our sofa room is arranged as a relaxing space for the children where they can read a book, listen to music or watch television. We have a Wii, PSP3 and a computer to encourage IT skills.
Our very large garden is in use every evening and is well resourced with age appropriate equipment. The garden is a popular alternative to indoor activities. Team games are played using our basketball net and football goal and the children enjoy growing vegetables and flowers in their growing plots.
